Affiliate – How to Generate Traffic to Your Affiliate Business Using Youtube!
As an affiliate you have countless great products to promote. Your biggest problem to solve will be how to generate traffic to your affiliate business. Now there are numerous ways in which you can accomplish this and today we are going to look at YouTube as a method. At the time of writing this article YouTube’s Alexa ranking is no. 3, this means that it is the 3rd most visited website on the entire Internet which means that only Yahoo and Google gets more visitors, that is pretty amazing when you think that the first two are the largest search engines.
Some statistics that might interest you! Did you know that more than 150 000 videos are uploaded to YouTube every day, it will take you more than 415 years to watch all the videos collected there. It is estimated that more than 53% of all web searches are for videos on the subject. so with data like that it almost seems like a no brainer to incorporate video traffic generation into your overall marketing strategy, doesn’t it? Another contributing factor is, Google loves video results and thus spiders the video websites regularly, in other words when you use video marketing properly you stand a very good chance on getting Google first page rankings for your keywords.
So how do you use YouTube to generate traffic as an affiliate? First of all you need to setup a channel and then you need to make some videos that you upload to it. There are services that enables you to upload to a number of video sites in one go, I personally make use of Tubemogul.com (a free service) and my favor it and very powerful video marketing tool Traffic Geyser (a paid service) but an absolute must for the serious marketer, using their service you are virtually guaranteed first page rankings.
For the best results with your video you need to do proper keyword research, use the keyword to write a short script on for a video and the make a quick 2 to 5 minute video that you then upload to these various video sites. You will have to include a keyword rich description with your upload plus some relevant keywords, so a little research will be required but believe me it is well worth it. If you want some proof just go to Google do a search and see how many of the results are videos, of course if there are none and it is a good keyword you have discovered a good opportunity.
